TPB A DAY 004: G.I. Joe The Silent Missions - NAY!

NAY - I was interested in this TPB because, as a kid, I loved the original silent issue. Unfortunately, the other stories felt like more of the same. I know G.I. Joe is an action comic, but the silent format had so much potential for creativity and nuance. A space story, a silent interrogation, a funeral, or even a fight in a movie theater showing a Buster Keaton film could have been cool. Telling a story without words is a different beast, and it requires detailed visual storyboarding - sadly, some of these stories fell flat.
