Many people didn't like the trailer, but I find it quite interesting. I think it hides something important in the plot. I was struck by Hal Jordan's gray hair, like it was before he went crazy and destroyed the Corps. Then they complained about the lack of a constructor or the green beam when they fly, but Guy Gardner doesn't have it in the Superman movie. The only bad thing is the Green Lantern jacket.
The jacket reminds me of the Green Lantern: Earth One book. Don't love it (don't hate it either)... I'll reserve final judgment until I see it in action. Storywise, I'm hoping for it to draw from the Denny O'Neil / Neil Adams run! Love the casting. Looks promising to me.
