I happened upon an image with these character drawings and had a sudden rush of memories of playing with this as a kid! I started doing a google search for more images and found an article from 13th Direction which mentions the artist that created these plate designs was the late great Dave Stevens!

As a kid I had this and wish I still did! Many of things that just vanished over time!
I LOVED this as a kid! When my son was young, I made a flash version of this where he could make a monster or superhero and it would print out an image to color.
