Star Trek: Lower Decks is confusing to me... it's not the "Star Trek" or animation design I generally care for, but I don't hate it... and am actually kinda liking it...

I understand what they are trying to do, but for me it just doesn't jive - from the art style & voice acting/directing to the obvious jokes. Every time there's a joke I hear the words, "get it?!" Of course that being said I couldn't do any better so who am I to take a swing at them!
