Brings back a lot of bittersweet memories working on this thing.

It was a chaotic thing. Until then, I did fanzines and then all of a sudden had to create a newsstand magazine. Seat of the pants. Not a perfect product, but an educational experience. Had to get permission to use the Curt Swan cover, which at the time, was a nightmare. Geez, I was amazed how much I did not know. The copy fitting did not work out because I got the wrong specs. Still proud of doing one of the earliest newsstand magazines about comics. Unfortunately, the person with whom I worked turned out to be not the most honest. Lost the job partially because we treated it like a glorified magazine. Bob Soadro’s “Death of a Hero” was so hated, it was a reason why the job was lost as well as the inexperience the staff in CT had. After that, I edited Wally Wood’s THUNDER Agents for one and a third issues. My favorite part of that issue was having Stan Drake render the best Iron Maiden since Wally Wood. Too many stories following, but I appreciate the question. Sorry it took me so long to reply. If you want to know anything else, ask.
