that cover with the vacuum-expanding kid in space traumatized me as a kid. I bought the book because OF COURSE, I wanted to read it! But then, it haunted me... I would just stare at it and imagine him going POP. Ugh.
It had a huge impact on me as well when I read it as a kid.
