When I see Chris Claremont get crapped-on on the internet, these are the moments I think about, where these people became more than costumes and fights of the week. Kitty and Ororo and Logan and Kurt and Piotr and Rachel and Rogue and Illyana (and the NM)... this was the pinnacle of comic storytelling, and I gladly re-read them over and over.

100% agree - the quiet moments were what made me connect with these characters!
