I came to the Preacher comic a bit late. I was a huge fan of Sandman at the time and everything else in the Vertigo line seemed pale to me. At a friend's suggestion, I reluctantly picked up a Preacher book. It was sick, offensive and blasphemous... I absolutely loved it.
