The DC Model Kits Aurora Never Made! (1979)

Clipped from Big Glee!: Dig this 1976 article, from the SUPER DC CON booklet, all about fans customizing the existing awesome Aurora kits, in order to have their own 3-D versions of the Flash, Green Lantern, and Hawkman! Of course, in the mid-70s, the Aurora super-kits had just been re-issued as part of the "Comic Scenes" line (note how the author complains about their $3.99 prices), so any customizer had his pick of figures and parts to "mash-up!"
