Fun Facts: Shown at New PacifiCon '96 this is what was planned for a Second Season of Earth 2 if it had been picked up. The below changes to the show is one of the reasons the show was canceled by NBC and was not picked up by another network.
- Bring in a strong male leader named Isaiah Ford. Ford was supposed to be a Council leader who had lost his son in an accident, and comes to G889 to make a new life.
- Relegate Devon Adair to being the "passionate visionary". Isaiah Ford would usurp her leadership role. No mention of how Devon would get out of cold sleep was mentioned.
- John Danziger would develop more of an attitude than he already had. His "MacGuyver-like skills" with weapons would be emphasized.
- Morgan Martin and Yale would be killed off. No mention of how Yale was to be killed, other than "after Yale's tragic death...." Morgan would die in a "final act of cowardice," in a "botched escape attempt."
- Bess Martin would become the romantic female role, hopping from tent to tent to "discover other earthly pleasures" once she was "freed of Morgan's domination".
- Julia Heller would get more high-tech medical gadgets to play with, but would be reduced to a passive "comforting presence". The two major female characters, Julia and Devon, were rewritten to be more emotional and less dominant.
- A new, teenaged cyborg - named Rom - would be introduced to take Yale's place. He would be a troublemaker, and lead True and Uly into all kinds of mischief. Shades of Wesley Crusher and Lucas Wolenczak...
- The Eden Advance group would adopt an orphaned Grendlier (sic), and make him a part of the group. Which left the fans to wonder if Bess was going to enjoy earthly pleasures with it, and what made it Grendlier than the average Grendler.
- The Terrians would probably be written out, as the new producers wanted to get rid of long story arcs and esoteric concepts.
- Alonzo Solace would discover that, when the planet healed him from his broken leg (sic), he also developed super-strength. Needless to say, the only actor at NP '96 who appreciated this was Jessica Steen, who thought of lots of intersting storylines for Julia and Alonzo's super-strength!
