Dork Note: I always thought the Golden Age Vigilante was kind of cool. A modern day (1940's) Lone Ranger of sorts. I love the above image and think a story revolving (no pun intended) around him, as he is above, would be great. DC would NEVER do a series about an old, fat, retired, gun carrying Vigilante who runs a bar, but if they did and did it right I'd buy it.
It's sad for a DC hero; which at one time had his own movie serial, to never have a proper comic treatment. The best tribute I've seen for this character was his appearances in the animated show Justice League Unlimited.
