Another two series, Superman and Wonder Woman are placed on the pyre of J. Michael Straczynski's revamp, reboots and abandons. Here are his victims so far...
1. Rising Stars - Abandon: left unfinished over a movie rights dispute.
2. Amazing Spider-Man - Revamp: Changed Spider-Man fundamentally only to have it wiped clean editorially. What a waste of time for fans.
3. Squadron Supreme/Supreme Power - Reboot and Abandon: left unfinished mid-story arc/mid-fight scene. Fans were NOT HAPPY.
4. Doctor Strange - Reboot: This went no where. A dead end storyline.
5. Thor- Reboot and Abandon: Did a one issue tie up with many threads left hanging before he stopped writing it.
6. The Twelve- Abandon: fans left hanging on the 8th issue.
7. Superman - Abandon: quit mid-story arc.
8. Wonder Woman - Reboot and Abandon: quit mid-story arc.
JMS strikes me as a kid with a big toy box, every toy he pulls out is his favorite until he pulls out the next one. I cringe every time he is signed up to write for a monthly book. So graphic novels like Superman Earth One should be where JMS plays.
