WARNING: This is a brutal (...and brutally funny...) short!
I was trying to think of a good comic story to share for Halloween. This 2002 Punisher short "Roots" by Garth Ennis & Joe Quesada immediately came to mind. I remember a friend lent me this book a few months after it came out; I was HORRIFIED and laughing my ass off... Additional kudos for the brilliant use of an amazing single scene throughout! Mr. Ennis is one of the few writers that can effectively walk that line of vicious brutality and inappropriate humor.
Anyhow... trick or treat!
