Rob's Room: Jodorowsky's Dune

Last night, I watched this documentary about a failed attempt to make a feature of Frank Herbert's book, Dune.  In 1974, Alejandro Jodorowsky just set out to make a film "to change the young minds of all the world."  He failed in getting his movie made, but he certainly influenced a generation of Science Fiction films.  You should check it out!
Here's some of the talent he brought in to help...

  1. That's a great film, too bad the movie will never be made. Calvin at the cave of cool and I are going to steal that giant book.

  4. It was a very cool documentary and the man certainly has vision -- too bad he's also a complete whackjob! I have no doubt this film would have been awesome, but only in the literal definition of that word...

  5. I like how our little team is shaping up nicely. Now we need a girl that speaks several languages. She has to be young and cute, just his type.

    Great documentary.

I have said it before and I will say it again, Salvadore Dali as The Emperor - 'nuff said.
