This is probably an unpopular opinion... and I've never been the biggest fan of the Flash... but I HATE the crazy lightning that has become the modern "signature" of the character. Give me Infantino, speed lines, blurs, and repeated images, any day.

@ the Dork: I know the trial that FOLLOWED these issues were collected in a showcase edition. (Showcase Presents: The Trial of the Flash) The issues you cited, now that I am remembering, was a time period where I was reading Flash off and on, and when he killed ZOOM, I was hooked... then the trial, and it became quite boring and I dropped it. Oh well...
Your opinion is probably more popular than you think! I agree with you on the "crazy lightening" from the Flash Force. Also, prefer the more simple version of the costume without the extra bolts on the cowl and body.
