Perez was never a regular artist on the book, though. He did do a limited series tie-in to Final Crisis called "Legion of 3 Worlds", which was five issues long and the equivalent to perhaps 8 normal size DC issues today. That one series surely gave him a more comprehensive understanding of the group than just about any other artist, however, seeing as it featured Legions from 3 different timelines.
