I recently discovered this blog during a search for Thundarr art by Jack Kirby (great stuff btw) and after seeing these early design pages to Phoenix, I'm glad I did. =D
I love the "regal" version of Phoenix (first page, right side). Has a nice touch of DC's Captain Marvel with the cape and the feathered wings at the end of her boots and gloves are beautiful. I wish Marvel would incorporate this design if they ever bring back Jean Grey. The pre-lim designs are eye-catching too. Especially the last one on the right, nice take on her Marvel Girl outfit.
